Running as 0K05 1246 Carlisle Kingmoor - Crewe Basford Hall, DRS' 66305 + 66430 + 68003 pass Lodge Hall south of Ribblehead. I've attempted this shot three or four times in recent months and typically on the day I finally captured the working in some decent light it didn't have any wagons on it! A single loco would clearly have been a considerably worse result though so I mustn't grumble (20/09/2021)

My final shot of the afternoon featured 70810 at Selside Shaw with the loaded 6J37 1258 Carlisle Yard - Chirk Kronospan timber train. After the worst of the cloud seemed to have passed, there was little warning as the loco passed under the bridge in the background that we'd need to be making any last-minute adjustments to compensate for shadows etc but rarely is any visit to to this part of the world complete without the proverbial sting in the tail and today was no exception (20/09/2021)
