In some dramatic lighting conditions, 158787 scurries south past Selside Shaw with Northern's 1E65 1340 Carlisle - Leeds service (20/09/2021)
My final shot of the afternoon featured 70810 at Selside Shaw with the loaded 6J37 1258 Carlisle Yard - Chirk Kronospan timber train. After the worst of the cloud seemed to have passed, there was little warning as the loco passed under the bridge in the background that we'd need to be making any last-minute adjustments to compensate for shadows etc but rarely is any visit to to this part of the world complete without the proverbial sting in the tail and today was no exception (20/09/2021)
