After yesterday's trip out to photograph two 66-hauled freights in the space of five minutes, today's was equally productive with three in twenty-five. First up under leaden skies was 66724 'Drax Power Station' passing through Hunslet with 6D35 1110 Rylstone - Immingham stone train (22/06/2016)

I'd specifically chosen Hunslet because although the cutting is becoming increasingly overgrown, it's ideal for a short train such as his one: 66148 leads the WO 1405 Neville Hill to Lindsey empty fuel tanks (22/06/2016)

Five minutes after the Neville Hill tanks had gone, out came the sunshine so it's just as well this train was running half an hour late! 66058 'Derek Clark' has just got the signal to cross to the goods line at Hunslet Station Junction with the 1145 New Biggin British Gypsum - Milford West Sidings (22/09/2016)

56081 climbs past Oakenshaw Junction with the 6Z35 1123 Shipley Crossley Evans - Cardiff Tidal TC scrap metal train. Having been held to time at Calder Bridge, the 'Grid' could be heard for several minutes as it battled to lift its 1,500 ton load up the bank, and although I'd have preferred some sunshine the audio entertainment was reasonable compensation! 37706 + 37669 pass Shippen House Farm on the approach to Garforth with 1Z21 0818 Carnforth - Scarborough. The '37s' worked the 'Scarborough Spa Express' as far as Holgate, York, from where steam traction took over for the run to the coast (30/06/2016)
