Having stumbled across ML's 37146 working 1C71 1610 Edinburgh - Carstairs a couple of hours earlier at Waverley, a trip to Lanarkshire seemed like a plan as there surely couldn't be anything better behind? Wrong: 26046 was on the next one, but was failed on arrival at Carstairs and needed some assistance from 20122 to shunt the portion onto the back of 1M47 1720 Glasgow - Birmingham. In this view the '20' has just been coupled up to the errant Type 2 (15/08/1985)
