Later that afternoon, 47805 dodges the lengthening shadows on the approach to Hunslet Station Junction with 0Z19 1453 Skipton - Wakefield Kirkgate. This particular training run had started forward from Shipley after a plastic bag on the overheads at Saltaire had temporarily halted movements along the northern end of the Aire Valley (05/04/2021)

Having hung around another half hour or so for the return working, I was treated to the customary Balm Road bowl-out when a passing cloud eventually got the better of me. 47805 passes the Freightliner VMF with 0Z20 1614 Wakefield Kirkgate - Skipton (05/04/2021)

47805 opens up having negotiated the age-old speed restriction through Normanton as it nears the end of its training run to Wakfield Kirkgate as 0Z15 0930 from Doncaster West Yard (06/04/2021)

My reward for braving half an hour of snow, hail and biting winds was this less than impressive view of 47805 approaching Hunslet Station Junction from the opposite direction with 0Z20 1614 Wakefield Kirkgate - Skipton. Needless to say the sunshine I craved wasn't far away: a good half hour of it followed less than five minutes later, but that's just the nature of the game sometimes (06/04/2021)

Just under an hour later 47805 makes its way back north with 0Z20 1614 Wakefield Kirkgate - Skipton. I'd been toying with the idea of another go at the forward-facing shot passing Midland Road but decided the weather was too risky and opted for the opposite side of the bridge at Balm Road instead (08/04/2021)

A hastily-grabbed rear-end shot of GBRf's 47739 powering away from Swinton on 0D46 0904 Leicester LIP - Hexthorpe Yard. Having travelled down to record what would be its back- working from Doncaster, I'd literally stepped out of the back door of the unit from Leeds as it got the road across the junction towards Mexborough (22/04/2021)

With the preceding Northern service having just cleared the platform at Mexborough, GBRf's 47739 opens up again past the footbridge at Old Denaby with an additional 6Z47 1202 Hexthorpe Yard - Chaddesden Sidings (22/04/2021)

47402 runs round its train at Ramsbottom after arriving with the 1533 from Bury during its first public running day of the year at the East Lancashire Railway (08/05/2021)

After what had largely been a day of heavy rain, the sun put in a cameo appearance just before hometime. 47402 waits to depart from Bury with the 1640 to Heywood (08/05/2021)

47773 awaits departure from Kidderminster with the 1005 to Bridgnorth on Day Three of the Severn Valley Railway's Spring Diesel Bash (15/05/2021)

47773 is pictured again running round its train on arrival at Bridgnorth. The Tyseley based machine has been at the railway for several months now having undergone bodywork repairs and a repaint prior to hopefully returning to the main line with Vintage Trains (15/05/2021)

Running as 0Z15 0810 from Barrow Hill North Junction, 47832 + 47813 are pictured on the approach to Hellifield after working the first leg of the A1 Steam Trust's 0622 Leicester - Carlisle charter (22/05/2021)

The pair are pictured again after being shunted into the siding at Hellifield station. 47813 has recently been acquired by West Coast and still carries the now de-branded livery of its former owner ROG (22/05/2021)

The discovery of a minor issue with the multiple working system when driven from the No.1 end cab of 47813 resulted in the pair being re-marshalled so that 47832 could lead back south (22/05/2021)
