47579 'James Nightall GC' sparkles in the summer sunshine at Medstead & Four Marks before working the 1310 back to Alresford. The Mid Hants Railway are at present unable to run trains through to Alton due to ongoing highway improvement works (06/07/2019)

47579 just manages to catch a glimpse of sunshine after arriving back into Alresford with the 1310 from Medstead. The loco is due to head back to its home at Mangapps Farm in the near future for a 30th Anniversary Gala event, but will apparently return to Hampshire afterwards (06/07/2019)

A rather gloomy Summer's morning sees LSL's 47501 'Craftsman' arriving at Wrexham General with 1Z47 0601 'Statesman' charter from Chester to Windsor & Eton Riverside. On the right is TfW's 1502xx wwaiting to depart with 1B02 0619 to Liverpool Lime Street via the Halton curve, which now sees an hourly service in each direction after many years of occasional use (13/07/2019)

47501 is pictured again a couple of hours later at Birmingham International with 1Z47 whilst awaiting its booked path south (13/07/2019)

On the rear of the train (and in a considerably more photogenic position at Birmingham International) was 47853, which would later work the 1Z48 1714 return leg back to Chester (13/07/2019)

Having been coupled up to the complementary rake of blue and grey Mk2 coaches, 47635 awaits departure from Ongar with the 1235 to Epping Forest (20/07/2019)

Probably the pick of the day's photos sees 47635 catching some sunshine before being detached off the rear of the 1317 Epping Forest - Ongar at North Weald. Just visible on the far right is train loco 31438, whilst on the far left 20001 undergoes some testing on shed (20/07/22019)

An hour later 47635 is pictured on arrival at North Weald with the 1417 from Epping Forest. After the '47' had been detached, the steam loco just visible in the background would run round and take the train forward to Ongar (20/07/2019)

'Jimmy Milne' makes its way to the sidings at North Weald to await the arrival of the 1435 from Ongar to Epping Forest. The '47' would then be attached to the rear of this service in order return it from the EOR's boundary with London Underground, where there's currently no facility for the train loco to run round (20/07/2019)

The following morning 47117 'Sparrow Hawk' runs round at the Great Central Railway's Leicester North terminus after arriving with 2A09 1020 from Loughborough Central (21/07/2019)

47810 + 47501 await departure from Paignton with the 1Z48 1726 return 'Statesman' charter to Crewe. The pair worked both legs of the train throughout in multiple (27/07/2019)

With the clock having just struck midnight and rain falling heavily, the pair are pictured again on arrival back into Crewe. The return journey had included an unexpected detour through Birmingham New Street following reports of a tree blocking the line in the Bescot area (27/07/2019)

47449 waits to depart from Llangollen with the 1100 to Carrog during the railway's combined 1960s and Beer Festival Weekend (03/08/2019)

Later that afternoon 47449 pauses at Glyndyfrdwy with the 1355 from Carrog to Llangollen (03/08/2019)

With the event in full swing, 47449 retires to the headshunt at Llangollen before running round its train to work the 1520 to Carrog (03/08/2019)
