47851 brings up the rear of 5Z65 is its sister heads downgrade towards Killingbeck. The stock had run empty from Cleethorpes to York the previous night for stabling after arriving back from Edinburgh (09/12/2018)
After behaving itself at the weekend 47851 was entrusted with a trip to Kent a few days later and is pictured here at Crewe with the returning 1Z40 1552 Canterbury West - Carnforth West Coast Railways charter. Unfortunately the seemingly jinxed machine had just suffered a loss of power as it arrived into the station, and although the fault was quickly traced and fixed, the crew were in the process of running 47826 round from the rear of the train to assist. The pair then worked back to base in tandem (12/12/2018)
