47832's partner for the day was 47237, which had earlier worked 1Z35 from Lincoln to Peterborough and then again forward from Llandudno Junction. The no-heat machine is seen shunting the empty stock into the loop at Blaenau to allow the service train to follow it up the branch from North Llanrwst (03/07/2015)

Later that afternoon 47832 shunts the empty stock out of the loop before working the return 1Z37 1610 Blaenau Festiniog - Lincoln as far as Llandudno Junction (03/07/2015)

The next morning I was off to the East Lancashire Railway's Diesel Gala, where 47643 is pictured on arrival at Heywood with 2H54 0648 ex-Bury (04/07/2015)

47643 is pictured again on arrival at Rawtenstall with 2J55 1015 from Heywood. This particularly-elusive machine was a relatively late addition to the Gala line-up and I'd originally intended to sample it the previous day too, but the lure of the previous day's traction Mk1 stock was too strong to resist (04/07/2015)

There were rumours during the previous weekend's Gala that the visiting locos from Bo'ness might get a second weekend of action at the ELR owing to their transit move back to Scotland being delayed. With 37025 not available, 47643 was the lucky recipient of a bonus running day the following Saturday and is seen here at Bury prior to working 2H50 0930 to Heywood (11/07/2015)

47292 makes its way into the station at Ruddington Fields to work the 1030 departure to Loughborough. Athough intended to work four round trips, the loco was swapped for the '25' later that afternoon due to low fuel levels (15/08/2015)

47746 'Chris Fudge' waits to depart from Southend Victoria with Steam Dreams' 1Z91 0736 charter to Stratford-upon-Avon which it worked as far as Hanwell in West London. This particular terminus has very occasionally been visited by '47s' on passenger trains in the past, but this was the first known working for many years (22/08/2015)
