47854 passes the site of Bingley signal box with 5Z60 1656 Carnforth-Bridlington (08/07/2005)

Early the next morning 47851 is seen arriving at Bridlington station with the empty stock for Railtourer's 1Z61 0612 charter to Edinburgh. Not the sharpest of images, but I don't have too many daylight pictures of 47s at this particular east coast resort

This may appear to be just a poor photo of 47826 in some trees, but this is actually a moment of history. 'Springburn' waits to become what's believed to be the first '47' to depart from Fort William at the head of 1Z21 1233 to Mallaig (06/08/2005)

If there were doubts about previous visits by the class to Fort William, this was very definitely the first time a '47' has ever reached Mallaig. 47826 enjoys its moment of glory (06/08/2005)

47854 crosses the spectacular Glenfinnan Viaduct with the returning 1Z22. It's a day that will live long in the memory, particularly the sight and sound of 47826 climbing to both Corrour and County March Summits later that evening (06/08/2005)
