After running round ('828 was left on the rear of the train to provide the ETS), 47316 'Cam Peak' waits to depart from Bristol Temple Meads for the short run to Newport via Avonmouth and the Severn Tunnel (12/02/2005)

'847 had been failed at Rhyl with low oil pressure, so 47815 was removed from the rear of the train to work forward to Holyhead. The former FGW machine (another recent Riviera acquisition) prepares to run round at Rhyl (20/03/2005)

Unofficial industrial action by Chester and Holyhead drivers prompted ATW to provide a skeleton Crewe to Holyhead service using 'top-and-tail' Riviera '47s' driven by WCRC crews. With '847 just visible on the rear of the train, 47843 'Vulcan' calls at Ban

In an unrepeatable scene, 47815 (with '816 on the rear) arrives at Bangor with 1Z62 1600 Crewe-Holyhead, as 47847 brings up the rear of the departing 1Z64 (03/04/2005)
