47304+47287 are seen here during a lengthy stop at Nuneaton during Hertfordshire Railtours' 1Z54 0808 Euston - Buxton Sidings 'Hale Stone' railtour. '287 hadn't appreciated the 95mph running on the WCML and was shut down here with traction motor problems, leaving '304 to take the train forward to Basford Hall (27/07/1996)

The replacement loco was Tinsley favourite 47145 which is pictured at Derby during a short break on the return leg. Having taken over the train at Basford Hall, 'MERDDIN EMRYS' worked forward to the sidings outside Buxton station via Middlewich, Altrincham, Chinley and Peak Forest. After a run-round the tour re-traced its steps through Peak Forest but then continued its journey through the Hope Valley (27/07/1996)
