47539 'Rochdale Pioneers' is pictured on arrival at Barrow-in-Furness with 1P10 1940 ex-Preston. The train returned south as 1K12 2149 to Stafford, where the Mk3 Sleeper pictured immediately behind the loco would be attached to the overnight Manchester/Liverpool to London Euston train (31/07/1987)
