218495 + 218155 await departure from Stuttgart Hbf with an additional IC2933 1458 'Ersatz' to Oberstdorf. Unusually the train they were replacing (IC2013) was only a few minutes late today and arrived as it was leaving but passengers were presumably directed to the following 'ICE' service which overtook the 'Rabbits' en route to Ulm (17/11/2021)
Day six began with an early morning alarm call to cover the 0422 Kempten - Oberstdorf for no other reason that it was due to finish in a little over three weeks' time. I'd also never managed to travel the branch in its entirety behind a '218' on a DB Regio service and thankfully not only did the booked loco-hauled set produce, but the anticipated 218446 had been exchanged for sister loco 218425. What for me has been a relatively low-key machine in recent years is pictured here after arriving at München Hbf on the rear of RE3891 0550 ex-Oberstdorf (18/11/2021)
