A scene that will soon be consigned to history as 245035 waits to propel RE4241 1401 Stuttgart - Lindau out of Friedrichshafen Stadt. Just visible in the distance is 218436 arriving on RE4228 1604 Lindau - Stuttgart, which would take me back north to Ulm. These services are due to be worked throughout by Class '146' electric locos from the start of the new timetable on December 12th (18/11/2021)
Later that afternoon 218448 + 218463 are pictured on arrival into Friedrichshafen Stadt with IC119 0715 Dortmund - Innsbruck, which they'd taken over at Stuttgart. This was the first time this service had run for nearly a month due to yet another engineering blockade in connection with the Südbahn electrification project and was one of the reasons I'd timed my trip for when I did (18/11/2021)
