Later that afternoon 218448 + 218463 are pictured on arrival into Friedrichshafen Stadt with IC119 0715 Dortmund - Innsbruck, which they'd taken over at Stuttgart. This was the first time this service had run for nearly a month due to yet another engineering blockade in connection with the Südbahn electrification project and was one of the reasons I'd timed my trip for when I did (18/11/2021)
The following morning I opted for an extra couple of hours in bed rather than another trundle up the branch to Oberstdorf in the dark but still turned out for RE3891 out of Kempten. 218425 enjoys some hazy sunshine at München Hbf as it readies itself for the journey back south (19/11/2021)
218425 waits time at Kaufering with RE57582 0840 München - Kempten, which I'd noticed on the previous two mornings was booked to stand here for a few minutes to be overtaken by a Zurich-bound EMU. 218411 was once again its partner at the north end of the set and is just visible in the distance (19/11/2021)
