Another view of 218431 prior to departing Donaueschingen with RE3241 1722 back to Ulm (20/11/2021)
It was by no means a certainty as far as I was concerned but thankfully 218431 stuck to its diagram and is seen here waiting to head back out from Ulm on the rear of RE3248 1409 to Donaueschingen (20/11/2021)
The following day 218431 was turned out for two more return trips along the Donautalbahn and as I'd only covered the line twice prior to yesterday it would have been rude not to take advantage of the opportunity. The loco is seen here waiting to depart from Donaueschingen with RE3247 1122 back to Ulm (21/11/2021)
