In a repeat of the previous day's diagram, 218330 is about to depart from Hamburg Hbf for Lübeck after arriving with RE11447 from Kiel. The 'Sprinter' stopped short of the main train shed this morning though and the mix of shadows and bright sunshine made for some awkward lighting conditions (21/06/2022)
218330 waits to depart Lübeck with RE11108 0906 to Kiel. After the entire diagram had been cancelled due to a "train fault" on the previous two days I'd been hoping for a round trip to Fehmarn on the IC turn this morning before my flight home but my hopes were once again dashed as I woke to the dreaded "Zug fällt aus" comment on the DB app. Another trip behind the unique 'Caterpillar' engined machine was the less risky of two alternative moves available and given next year's 'Kieler Woche' is unlikely to feature any 'Rabbits' was the logical choice (22/06/2022)
A final view of 218330 at Lübeck as it waits to depart with RE11114 1206 to Kiel. Alongside is 146257 on the shuttle to Travemünde Strand. Rather annoyingly as I was making my way south towards the Airport I passed a required 218412 on IC2416 to Fehmarn but that one will have to wait until next time (22/06/2022)
